Job summary

Drivers Today is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver for regular long-term work in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. You will run a CW/WA-focused multi-drop route, handle 15–20 deliveries daily, and manage pallet-network pickups for a pallet distribution operation.

The role requires a Category C license, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, and practical tail-lift/pump truck experience. Monday–Friday, 45 hours/week, with weekly pay and holiday pay included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 2 multi-drop experience.
• Valid Category C / HGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card holder with pallet-network experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 15–20 clustered deliveries per day with a 18-tonne curtain-sided vehicle.
• Daily route work across CW/WA postcodes with occasional residential drops.
• Complete delivery paperwork and assist with pallet-network collections.
• Maintain load security and operate tail-lift/swap Pump Trucks as required.

Experienced Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver Wanted

Drivers Today is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 / Category C Multi-Drop Driverfor a well-established specialist pallet distribution operation in the Newcastle-under-Lyme / Longport area.

This is regular, long-term workfor a driver who knows pallet-network multi-drop and is comfortable completing a busy delivery round.

You’ll predominantly be delivering throughout Cheshire and Warrington (CW & WA postcodes), with routes organised into local postcode areas rather than unnecessarily spread-out drops.

The Job

You’ll be driving an 18-tonne HGV Class 2 curtain-sided vehicle with tail lift, completing approximately 15–20 clustered deliveries per day, together with customer and network collections.

The Work Includes

Approximately 45 hours per week

This is a long-term position, so we're looking for someone who wants regular work rather than occasional agency shifts.

Experience Is Important for This One

This isn't suitable for someone completely new to Class 2 multi-drop work.

We're Looking For

• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 2 multi-drop experience
• Valid Category C / HGV Class 2 licence
• Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous pallet-network experience
• Curtain-side experience
• Tail-lift experience
• Confident using manual and electric pump trucks
• Good knowledge of load security
• Good careful and professional driving style
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Good customer-facing manner

Counterbalance FLT Experience/licence Would Be Useful But Isn't Essential.
