Job summary

Sydenhams Limited is seeking a part-time HGV Class 2 driver to join our team in the Frome area. You will perform multi-drop deliveries to residential properties and building sites, liaising with the branch to keep deliveries running smoothly.

Ideal candidates will hold CPC and a HGV Class 2 licence, with HIAB experience preferred. You will be friendly, a team player, motivated, and numerate with basic computer skills, supporting excellent customer service and material knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have a Driver CPC qualification.
• HGV Class 2 (CAT C) license is required.
• HIAB/Cranes experience is preferred but not essential.
• Friendly, approachable with good customer service.
• Team player who works well with others.
• Motivated and reliable with good time-keeping.
• Knowledge about building materials is beneficial.
• Numerate and computer literate for basic checking and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver via multi-drop routes to residential and building sites around Frome.
• Coordinate with branch team to ensure delivery services run efficiently.
• Assist with loading/unloading and ensuring goods are secured for transit.

The group supplies to a broad range of customers, including DIY and Retail, small to national Housebuilders, General and Specialist Contractors, Housing Associations, and other Timber and Builders Merchants.

The Role:

Our drivers are the face of our company and often serve as the first point of contact with our customers. The successful candidate will be working on multi-drop deliveries to residential and building sites in and around the Frome area, liaising with the team at the branch to ensure our delivery services run efficiently and effectively.
