Job summary

A leading building merchants company is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver for a 6-month contract in Aylesbury. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule with excellent pay of £25 per hour. Responsibilities include safe delivery of materials and compliance with health and safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have a clean driving license and experience in multi-drop deliveries.

HGV II HIAB Driver Required In Aylesbury Paying £25ph

We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our client, a well-established building merchants company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Category C HIAB driver who wants a Monday to Friday position offering excellent pay.

6 Month Contract, with the possibility of going permanent.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the timely and safe collection of building materials from customers, including multidrop deliveries for trade and retail customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and delivered safely and professionally.
• Complete all required paperwork at delivery/collection points.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Operate in accordance with training and HTGs Policies & Procedures.
• Comply with Health and Safety legislation, Company policies, and current EU Road Transport Regulations.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is roadworthy, with daily vehicle walk rounds completed and recorded.

Requirements and Skills

• A minimum Class 2 HGV driving license (preferably clean) with Driver Qualification Card/Driver CPC.
• Zero endorsements preferred; any endorsements must be stated at application stage.
• At least 12 months HGV driving experience, including 90 days tachograph recorded driving in the last 180 days, with current Digi/tacho card.
• A positive approach to Health & Safety.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours & WTD Regulations.
• Excellent driving skills.
• Experience of multi-drop deliveries.
• Ideally, hold a current accredited certificate in the safe operation of Lorry Mounted Loaders (including remote).
• Forklift Truck experience is beneficial; training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of the local area and experience within a Builders Merchant is advantageous.
