Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver for a daytime driving role delivering finished products to customers across the local and surrounding areas.

The position involves 1–5 drops per day, loading/unloading where required, and daily vehicle checks. Work is Monday to Friday with a 06:00 start, temporary contract with possible temp-to-perm for the right candidate, and £18.00 per hour. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling and handball duties.
• Reliable and professional approach.
• Good timekeeping and safe driving standards.

Job Description

We’re currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for an established manufacturing and distribution operation, delivering finished products to customers across the local and surrounding areas.

This is a straightforward daytime driving role offering regular weekday work, manageable delivery volumes and some manual handling.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for safely transporting manufactured products to customers and completing approximately 1–5 drops per day.

Your duties will include:

Completing 1–5 deliveries per day
Delivering finished manufactured products to customers
Loading and unloading goods where required
Carrying out some handball and manual handling
Completing daily vehicle checks Ensuring goods are handled safely and securely
Completing deliveries accurately and on time
Maintaining a professional approach when dealing with customers
