Job summary

OJ Digital is recruiting an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver for a Thame-based distribution business. This permanent day-driving role focuses on local palletised collection and delivery work, typically with the same vehicle and regular routes for consistency.

The role involves some physical deliveries and occasional overtime. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm, with 22 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• At least 12 months' Class 2 driving experience.
• Experience operating curtain-sided vehicles.
• Comfortable carrying out tail-lift operations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver palletised freight across local routes.
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently and on time.
• Operate vehicles 3.5t to 18t as required.
• Carry out tail-lift operations.
• Follow transport, pallet network and safety procedures.
• Deal professionally with customers during deliveries and collections.
• Keep vehicle presentable and represent the business.
• Support occasional additional distribution requirements.
• Keep Driver CPC training up to date.

The Role

OJ Digital is recruiting an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver for an established distribution business based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

This is a permanent day-driving position focused on local palletised collection and delivery work. You'll generally work with the same vehicle and regular routes, giving you considerably more consistency than many Class 2 driving roles.

The business provides suitable vehicles and electric pallet trucks, although there is some physical work involved with certain deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver palletised freight across assigned local routes
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently and on time
• Operate vehicles ranging from 3.5t to 18t where required
• Carry out tail-lift operations
• Follow all transport, pallet network and Health & Safety procedures
• Deal professionally with customers during deliveries and collections
• Keep your vehicle presentable and represent the business professionally
• Support occasional additional distribution requirements
• Keep Driver CPC training up to date
• Valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• At least 12 months' Class 2 driving experience
• Experience operating curtain-sided vehicles
• Comfortable carrying out tail-lift operations
• Happy working independently and managing your own delivery route
• Reliable, flexible and comfortable working as part of a wider transport team
• 45 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Hours broadly between 7:30am and 5:30pm
• One Saturday morning per month, paid as overtime
• 22 days' annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
