Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is a family run business with depots across the South-West. We are seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Sweeper Driver to keep roads and sites clean, working with modern equipment and a supportive team.

You will operate road sweeping vehicles, perform daily inspections, and ensure health and safety standards are met while delivering excellent service. Competitive pay and progression opportunities on offer.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HGV Class 2 road sweeping vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Sweep roads, construction sites, industrial estates, and public areas to a high standard.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Plan and follow designated routes and schedules effectively.
• Complete relevant paperwork, vehicle checks, and job records accurately.
• Remove and dispose of collected waste in accordance with environmental guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle and equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergency or reactive cleaning requirements when required.
• Adhere to all company policies, driving regulations, and compliance standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally at all times.
