Job summary

Smart Solutions is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Sheffield team, operating skip and RoRo vehicles across the local area. This is a hands-on role for a professional driver who takes pride in safety, reliability and customer service.

You will drive Monday to Friday with a 06:00am start, perform daily vehicle checks, and contribute to maintaining high vehicle standards while supporting the transport and depot team at the Widnes site.

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
Valid Driver CPC.
Valid Digital Tachograph card.
Proven HGV driving experience.
Experience within the waste management sector is highly desirable.
Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations and driver compliance.
Reliable and professional approach to work.
Flexible Monday–Friday with 06:00 start.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles.
Deliver, exchange and collect containers from customer sites.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and road laws.
Follow all site, transport and road safety procedures.
Provide a professional, customer-focused service on site.
Support the wider transport and depot team at the Widnes site.
Maintain a clean, safe and well-presented vehicle.
