Job summary

Drivers Today is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver for daytime pallet deliveries in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. You will handle multi-drop routes, deliver to commercial and residential customers, and ensure accurate paperwork.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 2 licence, CPC, Tachograph card, and have 12 months multi-drop experience with pallet networks. Regular pay and predictable daytime shifts are offered.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 / Category C licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Tachograph card must be valid.
• Good customer service and reliable timekeeping are essential.

Responsibilities

• Make approximately 15–20 deliveries per day.
• Perform multi-drop pallet distribution across CW and WA postcodes.
• Use tail lifts and pump trucks for pallet deliveries.
• Complete delivery paperwork and perform daily vehicle checks.

Job description

driving an 18-tonne HGV Class 2 curtain-sided vehicle, carrying out pallet deliveries and collections.

The work includes:

• Approximately 15–20 deliveries per day
• Multi-drop pallet distribution
• Deliveries mainly across CW and WA postcode areas
• Using tail lifts and pump trucks
• Delivering to commercial and residential customers
• Completing delivery paperwork
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks

Routes are generally grouped into delivery areas, helping you become familiar with your regular customers and locations.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

• Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph Card
• At least 12 months' Class 2 multi-drop experience
• Previous pallet-network or pallet distribution experience
• Confidence using tail lifts and pump trucks
• Good customer service skills
• Reliable timekeeping and a positive attitude
