Job summary

Pure Staff are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to support a long-standing client in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves delivering goods to customers across local and national routes with a focus on professional customer service.

You will work Monday to Friday with early starts, on a modern fleet in a well-established logistics operation. Weekly pay and a supportive transport team are provided as part of an ongoing contract.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (LGV C) Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card is required.
• Digital Tachograph knowledge is essential.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers across local and national routes.
• Complete 10–12 deliveries and collections per shift.
• Operate tail lift equipment safely and accurately complete PODs.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Provide excellent customer service on delivery sites.

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to support one of our long-standing customers based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Class 2 Driver looking for ongoing work with a respected food distribution business operating a modern fleet and an established transport operation.

Pay Rates

PAYE

• Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour
• Saturday: £19.00 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £20.00 per hour

PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay (Optional)

• Monday to Friday: £20.17 per hour
• Saturday: £21.29 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £22.41 per hour

The Role

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be delivering goods to customers across local and national routes. This is a customer-facing position requiring excellent communication and professional standards at all times.

Typical duties include:

• Completing between 10 and 12 deliveries and collections per shift
• Delivering to stores and commercial customer locations
• Operating tail lift equipment safely
• Completing POD and delivery documentation accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Providing excellent customer service on delivery sites
• Ensuring compliance with all driving legislation and company procedures

This HGV Class 2 Driver role offers a varied working day with a mixture of local and longer-distance deliveries within the logistics and distribution sector.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
• Typical shifts between 8 and 12 hours
• Overtime opportunities available
• Ongoing work throughout the year

Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Driver position, you must have:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C / LGV C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Strong understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
