Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to support a growing transport operation in Hams Hall, Birmingham. The role involves multi-drop deliveries, nightly stays away from home, and ensuring safety and professional service at every stop.

The ideal candidate holds a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and tachograph card, with a reliable, punctual and customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Good geographical knowledge and ability to use satellite navigation effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules.
• Ability to undertake manual handling duties.

Responsabilités

• Complete multi-drop deliveries and collections per plan.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after shifts per DVSA requirements.
• Load, secure, transport and handle goods safely under relevant legislation.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and tachograph records.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
• Comply with road traffic laws, driver hours and health and safety procedures.
• Communicate delays or route changes with the transport team.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
• Be flexible to work away from home when required.
