Job summary

TradeChoice Carpet and Flooring is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to support our busy warehouse. You will transport stock to our branches, perform multi-drop deliveries, and ensure safety and efficiency in all operations.

You’ll join a friendly team with ongoing training, growth opportunities, and a commitment to customers. A valid Class 2 licence and Driver CPC are required, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driving licence (C) with a clean driving record.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading and unloading of the HGV to ensure it is conducted correctly and safely.
• Conduct quality checks upon delivery and obtain customer signatures as proof of receipt.
• Maintain full compliance with tachograph legislation and safety regulations.
• Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and free from preventable damage.
• Report accidents or incidents to the Operations Manager following procedures.
• Complete daily vehicle inspection sheets.
• Arrange vehicle servicing, MOT scheduling, and inspections.
• Provide assistance in the warehouse as needed.
