Job summary

Driver Hire Preston is seeking 3 Class 2 HGV drivers with a HIAB licence to support a timber merchant client. This permanent role offers Monday–Friday shifts and competitive pay. Commute from Blackpool, Fleetwood, Garstang, Southport, Chorley, Leyland and nearby areas is easy.

Applicants must hold a UK Class 2 licence with HIAB, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card, plus under 8 points. Duties include delivering products, vehicle checks and tachograph compliance.

Qualifications

• UK Class 2 driving licence with valid HIAB licence.
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Less than 8 points on licence.
• Keen to look after your vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Delivering building products to site using HIAB crane.
• Daily walk round and vehicle checks; report damage/defects.
• Correct use of tachograph and drivers hours.

Job description

We are looking to recruit 3 Class 2 HGV drivers with HIAB Licence for our client who is a timber merchant.

This is a permanent position for the right applicant.

Please do not apply if you do not have a current valid HIAB lorry mounted crane licence.

Qualifications

• A UK issued Class 2 driving Licence and valid, current HIAB operators licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Less than 8 points on your licence
• To be keen to look after your vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Delivering building products to site using HIAB crane
• Daily walk round and Vehicle checks. Reporting existing damage and defects.
• Correct use of Tachograph and drivers hours

Compensation & benefits

• Monday-Friday: £18.00 - £24.00 PAYE Per Hour Advanced
• Weekly Pay, paid on time every time.
• 8hr minimum guaranteed pay per shift
• Subsidised ongoing CPC training.

Permanent employed positions available after a period of temporary work.

We have found other driving, logistics and warehouse professionals to be successful such as Class 1 or Class 2 or 7.5 Ton or Heavy Goods Driver and other commercial driving professions.
