Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions is seeking a reliable HGV Driver with HIAB to join our nationwide non-mechanical equipment division in the UK. You will be responsible for loading, delivering and collecting hire equipment to customer sites, presenting equipment when required and completing associated checks and admin tasks.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid HGV licence, HIAB experience or training, and a Driver CPC (35 hours).

Qualifications

• HGV Licence is required.
• HIAB training is preferred.
• Driver CPC — 35 hours completed.
• Previous experience in a similar industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to and from customer sites in a timely, professional manner.
• Demonstrate equipment if required and complete relevant checks and administration for hires.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with legal requirements.

The Role:

Our nationwide Non Mechanical division hire a range of equipment including crowd control barriers, scaffolding and road plates to the events industry alongside our more traditional business sectors within the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

The duties of the HGV Driver with HIAB will include loading, delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from the customer site in a timely and professional manner, demonstration (if required) and completing any relevant checks and administration involved for the hire. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving experience in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.
