Job summary

Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver / Drainage Operative to join our team. You will drive our drainage vehicle to sites and assist with unblocking and clearing drains, working as part of the site crew to support drainage operatives.

The role requires a Class 2 HGV license, CPC and a Full UK Driving License, with an hourly rate of £16.00 and a minimum of 42.5 hours per week. We offer benefits including life assurance, free on-site parking and staff discounts.

We pride ourselves on our expertise, reliability, and commitment to customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver / Drainage Operative to join our team. You will be responsible for driving our HGV drainage vehicle to and from jobs and assisting with drainage requirements (unblocking and clearing drains) whilst at site.

Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

You must have a Class 2 licence to be successful for this role and be willing to work as part of the site team assisting with clearing drains.

Hourly rate: £16.00

Hours: minimum 42.5 hours per week
