Job summary

THB is seeking an HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer to join our growing team based in Gillingham, Kent. The role offers full training and the opportunity to work within a professional two-man crew operating a range of specialist drainage vehicles.

The role involves jetting, drainage cleaning, maintenance and emergency works, driving 18–32 tonne units, drainage investigations and paperwork, with a focus on safety and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a two-person team on specialist jetting units.
• Operating and assisting with drainage cleaning, maintenance and emergency drainage works.
• Driving and operating vehicles ranging from 18 tonne to 32 tonne jetting units.
• Carrying out drainage investigations and blockage clearance.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Completing relevant vehicle and job documentation.

The Role

• Working as part of a two-person team on specialist jetting units.


• Operating and assisting with drainage cleaning, maintenance and emergency drainage works.


• Driving and operating vehicles ranging from 18 tonne to 32 tonne jetting units.


• Carrying out drainage investigations and blockage clearance.


• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.


• Completing relevant vehicle and job documentation.

Requirements

Essential:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.


• Valid Driver CPC qualification.


• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.


• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.


• Ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred:

• CSCS Card.


• Previous drainage or jetting experience (advantageous but not essential).
