Job summary

Workchain is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a days-based temporary position in Melton Mowbray. The role focuses on safe operation of curtainsider vehicles, timely deliveries and reliable service across the logistics operation.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, have curtainsider driving experience, and possess good route knowledge and communication skills to ensure smooth collections and deliveries.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 2 licence.
• Experience driving curtainsider vehicles.
• Good knowledge of UK roads and route planning.
• Safe, responsible and professional driving.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Completing scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Operating a curtainsider vehicle.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Securing loads correctly before departure.
• Completing delivery paperwork and using transport documentation.
• Following road safety, company and customer-site procedures.
• Providing a professional service at collection and delivery points.
