Job summary

Workchain is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client in St Helens. You will deliver goods across St Helens and surrounding areas in a curtainsider vehicle, with a focus on safe, timely deliveries.

Applicants should hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C), a Driver CPC and a Digital Tachograph Card. 1–2 years’ HGV experience and good knowledge of local routes are preferred. Full-time role, 45–55 hours/week, paid £16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires HGV Class 2 licence (Category C) and Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card held or willing to obtain.
• 1–2 years’ HGV driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle and deliver goods across St Helens and surrounding areas.
• Complete deliveries accurately and on time, with minimal handball.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Follow road traffic regulations and company policies.
