Job description

The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours:

1. Days or nights, up to 5/6 shifts a week (including weekends).
2. Day shifts start from 4am; night shifts start between 10pm and 1am (max 10-hour shifts).

Pay Rate:

1. Days – £14.27, rising to £14.40 after 12 weeks.
2. Nights – £14.79, rising to £15.40 after 12 weeks.

Job Type:

Ongoing, with an opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.

The Role:

1. Securely move and transport palletised parcels to couriers or from delivery units.
2. Handle runs, focusing on safe driving and accurate paperwork.
3. Assist with loading and unloading vehicles using a tail lift and pump truck, if required.
4. Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing the company.

Requirements:

1. Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
2. Valid and current DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
3. No more than 6 points on your licence (minor offences only).
4. Have a valid DBS or be willing to obtain one.
5. Full understanding of WTD legislation.
6. Willingness to undertake a short driving assessment.
