Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 drivers for a client based in Sherburn in Elmet, LS25. The role involves multi‑drop deliveries using 18T/7.5T vehicles with full training provided.

Very competitive hourly rates and the potential for temp‑to‑perm opportunities. Shifts start early, with some overtime on weekends and across various pay bands. Staffline offers weekly pay and support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in the role.
• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence and Digi card.
• DCPC qualification required.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi‑drop deliveries using 18T and 7.5T vehicles.
• Deliver pallets, cages and dollies to commercial/retail locations.
• Conduct daily vehicle walk round checks and maintain safety standards.
• Use handheld terminals to scan deliveries, obtain proofs of delivery, and manage returns.

Staffline is recruiting for HGV Class 2 drivers for our client based in Sherburn in Elmet, LS25

Minimum 6 months experience required for this role

Normal PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 2 driver are as follows:

• Days: £15.45 per hour
• Nights £16.51 per hour
• Saturday: £17.92 per hour
• Sunday: 18.81 per hour
• Bank Holiday: £19.81 per hour

We are offering a temporary uplift through the Christmas peak from 26th October to 9th January of rates advertised below:

• AM: £17.20 per hour
• PM: £18.26 per hour
• Saturday: £19.67 per hour
• Sunday: £20.56 per hour
• Bank Holiday: £21.46 per hour

Your Time at Work

We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our team. The role involves delivering to a variety of commercial and retail customer locations using 18T and 7.5T rigid vehicles. Deliveries include pallets, cages, and dollies, with full training provided on all aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Multi drop deliveries using 18T and 7.5T vehicles
• Deliveries including pallets, cages and dollies
• Daily vehicle walk round checks
• Using Handheld Terminals to scan deliveries, obtain proof of delivery and manage returns and collections

We are mainly looking for drivers to work Monday to Friday and overtime may be available on weekends. Shift start times are between 03:00 and 07:00.

Our Perfect Worker

As an experienced HGV1 Driver you will ideally have -

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence
• Comfortable with multi drop 7.5T and 18T deliveries
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude
• No more than 6 points
• Digi card and DCPC
