Job summary

Aligra is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join a busy logistics operation in Reading. The role covers multidrop curtainside deliveries across Reading, Swindon and Slough with early starts and a consistent Mon-Fri schedule.

You will operate tail-lift equipped vehicles, load and unload pallets, and maintain accurate delivery records while prioritising safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with Driver CPC.
• Experience with multidrop curtainside deliveries, pallets and tail lift operation.
• Good knowledge of Reading, Swindon and Slough areas preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles on multidrop curtainside deliveries.
• Efficiently manage loading and unloading pallets using tail lifts.
• Complete 2-3 delivery runs per shift, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with the transport team.
• Strictly adhere to health and safety and driving regulations.

Are you a professional HGV Class 2 driver looking for a reliable role with consistent hours and great pay?

Our client a respected logistics company, is recruiting experienced drivers for multidrop curtainside deliveries across the Reading, Swindon, and Slough areas. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy operation with immediate starts available!

Pay & Shifts:

• £16.50 - £17.50 per hour (Up to £45,500 per annum)
• Monday to Friday
• 07:00am - 17:00pm
• 8 hours minimum (Average of 10 hours per day)
