Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for Ossett, West Yorkshire. You will deliver plumbing supplies to independent merchants and retailers on a multi‑drop route across the country.

Role involves occasional offloads with a tail lift or pump truck, plus pre‑shift checks and proper paperwork. Permanent contract with day shifts, basic pay £16.00/h and overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 2 (C) driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A Digital Tachograph Card in date.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Minimum 12 months operating Class 1 vehicles.
• Minimum 180 days’ hands-on commercial driving experience.

HGV Class 2 Drivers Wanted in Ossett, West Yorkshire

Our client is the largest wholesaler of Plumbing, Heating & Bathroom products in the UK who distribute nationally over 20,000 products on behalf of market leading brands.

As a HGV Clas 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering plumbing supplies to independent merchants, DIY outlets, bathroom, fire and general retailers nationwide on a multi-drop basis.

This role will involve driving a curtain side trail9or so previous experience is preferred. Drivers will also at times be required to offload products using a pump truck and tail lift

You’ll be responsible for completing pre-shift vehicle checks and ensuring all paperwork is accurately filled out in line with company procedures.

Duration: This is an on-going temporaray role however temp to perm opportunitites also available

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: Pay rates are as follows; Monday to Friday day shifts – £16.00 per hourOvertime also available paid at time and a half (£24.00 per hour)

Working Hours: Working hours are Monday to Friday with start times being between 0500 and 0700 each day

Experience & Qualifications

• -A valid HGV Class 2 (C) driving licence

In addition, applicants should have solid driving experience, including at least 12 months operating Class 1 vehicles

You should also have a minimum of 180 days’ hands-on commercial driving experience, ensuring you are confident, safe, and able to step straight into the role with ease.
