Job summary

Recycling Lives in Preston is seeking a skilled Class 2 HGV driver to operate hook loaders and support our expanding fleet. Join a fast-growing recycling company with a strong social mission and a focus on sustainability.

You will carry out daily vehicle checks, maintain records, and represent the company in a professional manner. Experience with hook loaders and a valid HGV license are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Digital Tachograph experience
• Experience with hook loaders

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 vehicles (hook loaders) for waste and recycling collections
• Carry out safe loading/unloading and tipping of containers
• Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance reporting
• Maintain accurate delivery and collection records
• Represent the company professionally with customers and the public

Role: HGV Driver (Hook Loader Experience Preferred) Location: Preston, PR2 Hours: Monday - Friday, 42.75 hours per week plus occasional overtime Salary: £14 p/h - £16 p/h, dependent on experience The Role: We are a fast-growing recycling company expanding into our own vehicle fleet, and we're looking for a skilled and dependable Class 2 Driver to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license CPC card and Digital Tachograph Experience with hook loaders strongly preferred
