Job summary

Driver Hire is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Wakefield area operations. You will operate curtain sider / box trailer vehicles, delivering to customers domestically and commercially, with some manual handling involved.

Hours start around 6am–8am, typical shifts 8–10 hours. You will complete daily vehicle checks and paperwork accurately. Training on skip wagon is available if needed to widen your driving capabilities.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 licence.
• Proven Class 2 driving experience.
• Excellent driving and road safety awareness.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• No previous driving disqualifications.
• Solid knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of Class 2 vehicles (curtain sider / box trailer).
• Deliver to customers domestically and commercially.
• Some manual handling required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and paperwork accurately.
• Training on using the skip wagon provided if needed.
