Job summary

Access Plus, part of the Briggs Equipment Group, is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver for a permanent role based in Springburn, Glasgow. The role involves delivering a high standard of service, following planned routes, and ensuring compliance with transport legislation.

You will perform vehicle checks, maintain tachograph records, and securely load/unload equipment. The position offers overtime, pension contributions, and benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence is required with Digi Tacho and CPC cards.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation are essential.
• Experience with loading/unloading access equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of service to all customers.
• Follow daily transport plans and schedules.
• Comply with all current and future transport legislation.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reports via the compliance app.
• Maintain accurate tachograph and transport records.
• Safely load, unload, and secure equipment using straps, chains, and other restraints.
• Keep vehicle clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Report all incidents in line with company and legal procedures.
• Communicate with customers prior to arrival.

Hours: Monday - Friday 42.5 hours per week

The role

• Deliver a high standard of service to all customers.

What will help you to excel in this role

• Class 2 Licence, Digi Tacho Card and all up to date CPC cards.
• Good communication skills
• Team player, personable with good customer service skills
• Previous experience loading and unloading of access equipment would be an advantage.
