Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our delivery team at our Dunstable distribution centre (LU5 5TA). This full-time, permanent role offers a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with start times between 02:00 and 07:00 and an annual salary of £36,024.42.

You will deliver multi-drop products, secure loads, complete paperwork, and provide excellent customer service. Ongoing CPC training and career progression opportunities are available in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK Category Class 2 licence with valid tachograph card and CPC.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT).
• Experience in multidrop or retail deliveries is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of customer products including multi-drop routes.
• Deliver totes to retail locations, offload, complete paperwork, and collect returns.
• Adhere to safe loading practices and report vehicle defects; participate in required training.

Here at GXO we are offering the opportunity for highly experienced Class 2 Lorry Drivers to join our delivery team out of our Dunstable distribution centre, LU5 5TA, for a large retail client.

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40.25 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Start times between 02:00 and 07:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Ensure accurate, timely, and safe delivery of customer products, including multi-drop deliveries within agreed delivery windows
• Delivering totes to retail locations, offload goods correctly, complete signed paperwork, and collect any agreed returns or waste
• Follow all safe working practices, including correctly securing loads to minimise damage and always ensure safety
• Provide excellent customer service, report vehicle defects to the Transport Office, and attend required training to fulfil the driver role effectively

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full valid UK CATEGORY Class 2 licence, with valid digital tachograph card and driver CPC
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Must have a good geographical knowledge, experience of driving in London is preferred
