Menzies Distribution Solutions is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Clitheroe team. The role features Monday to Friday shifts with guaranteed hours, multi-drop deliveries, and unloading using a moffett with some handballing.

You will drive rigid or van vehicles for Ultraframe, with full training provided for Moffett operation and manual handling. Residents of the UK with a valid C licence and no more than 6 points preferred.

Qualifications

• Full UK category C licence is essential.
• 12 months previous Class 2 driving experience is desirable.
• Good driving skills and knowledge of hours regulations.

Responsibilities

• General driving duties and deliveries/collections to customer premises.
• Unloading with Moffett and handballing as required.
• Assist with loading/unloading and yard shunt tasks.

HGV Class 1 Driver

Menzies Distribution Solutions is looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team in Clitheroe. You will be providing a first class service to a Menzies Customer by delivering their products and unloading with a Moffett.

On the days where there isn’t a run, you will be working in the yard performing shunt duties such as pulling trailers up from our customer sites, opening and closing curtains, moving stillages and trailers around the yard as needed although this list is not exhaustive. This is not your average depot to destination driving job, it is multi drop deliveries, loading and unloading through use of a moffett and an element of handballing so this role would suit someone who is not afraid to go the extra mile and enjoys a bit of variety in their day.

About the role:

Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for your next opportunity? Are you looking forguaranteedhours Monday to Friday?No weekend, Bank holiday or Christmas working? We’re looking for a Class 2 driver to join our team in Clitheroe.Monday – Friday shift, 48 hours per week, driving our rigid or van and supporting our customer Ultraframe. Deliveries are made in stillages using a moffett for unloading with an element of handballing required also. Moffett licence desirable however, full training will be given.

In addition to a standard salary of £35,795.04this role has a holiday allowance of 20 days excluding bank holidays increasing by one day every full year worked up to 25 days

HGV Class 2 Driver Duties:

• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from our customer’s premises or other MDS locations.
• Delivering stillages to customers on behalf of MDS and Ultraframe
• Use of electronic P.O.D and up to date technology (full training will be given to ensure best practice)
• Assisting with loading and unloading
• Handballing
• Multi-drop
• Use of Moffett truck

HGV Driver Requirements:

• A full UK category C licence(essential)
• 12 months previous class 2 driving experience(desirable)
• Excellent driving skills
• Moffett experience although full training will be given
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No previous disqualifications (DD,TT,DR,CD,IN)
• ‘Right To Work’ in the UK
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations
