Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with a C+E licence to join our Coalville team. You will deliver and collect for our customers and perform shunting when required, with training provided.

New passes are welcome and Moffett training can be provided under an accredited programme. The role features Monday–Friday days, 09:00 start, 50 hours per week, and on-site parking at Coalville.

Qualifications

• A full UK C+E licence (essential).
• Excellent driving skills and safe driving record.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no disqualifications (DD/TT/DR/CD/IN).
• Right To Work in the UK; compliant with legal working requirements.
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Shunter training would be preferred; able to be trained as a shunter.
• Able to use ratchets and straps for load securing.

Responsibilities

• General driving duties delivering and collecting to customer premises or MDS locations.
• Delivering products on behalf of MDS and customers; use of POD tech.
• Assist with loading and unloading; support with shunting duties.
• Maintain safety, compliance and on-time deliveries to our customers.

HGV Class 1 Driver

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for experienced HGV drivers that hold a C+E licence to join us, providing a first class service with our team in Coalville.You'll also be required to carry out shunting duties so must be willing to be shunt trained.You’ll be undertaking the delivery & collection of product on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers.

HGV Class 1 Driver Duties:

• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from our customer's premises or other MDS locations.
• Delivering product on behalf of MDS and their customer
• Use of electronic P.O.D and up to date technology (full training will be given to ensure best practice)
• Assisting with loading and unloading
• Shunting duties (full training will be given)

HGV Class 1 Driver Requirements:

• A full UK C+E licence(essential)
• Excellent driving skills

• No previous disqualifications (DD,TT,DR,CD,IN)
• 'Right To Work' in the UK
