Job summary

WP Recruitment is seeking a Street Cleansing Operative / HGV Class 2 Driver on the Isle of Wight. The role involves operating road sweepers, performing vehicle checks, and maintaining cleanliness along routes and schedules.

Hours are 40 per week with early starts, 5 days from 7, including weekends and two consecutive days off; temporary ongoing contract with overtime rates. You will be part of a driving and cleaning team committed to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have full clean HGV / Category C driver's license.
• Must be physically fit due to nature of duties.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of plant including left-hand drive road sweepers.
• Vehicle checks, basic maintenance and reporting defects.
• Road sweeping, litter picking and removal of debris.
• Adherence to health and safety and highways regulations.
• The role may also include: Emptying public rubbish bins including dog waste. Weed removal, clearing pavements, paths, drains and gullies of green waste, gum and graffiti removal.

Hours: 40 hours per week: 5/6am - 1.30/2.30pm, 5 days from 7

Days: Monday - Sunday ( 2 consecutive days off)

Duration: Temporary ongoing
