Job summary

Driver Require is seeking a HGV Class 2 driver for early-morning routes from Burton upon Trent. You will perform daily vehicle checks, report defects, and manage driving time to avoid infringements while handling store deliveries and tail-lift cage work. Expect 10–12 hour shifts with 4–6 drops per day.

Experience of Class 2 driving is required; London driving experience is advantageous. This role offers onsite parking, a pension scheme, and weekly pay in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 12 months Class 2 experience.
• London driving experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Report any damage, defects or wear-and-tear to Transport Team.
• Manage driving time to avoid infringements.
• Early starts with shifts typically between 01:00–03:00, sometimes 01:00–05:00.
• Average 10–12 hour shifts.
• Store deliveries to high street and retail parks.
• Cage work using tail-lift up to 250 kg.
• Typically 4–6 drops per day.

• Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements
• EARLY STARTS - AM Start times between 01:00 - 05:00, but mainly between 01:00 - 03:00
• Average 10 - 12 hour shifts
• Store deliveries (high street and retail parks)
• Cage work using tail-lift (cages can weigh up to 250kg)
• Between 4 - 6 drops per day

HGV Class 2 Driver Specification:

• Must have minimum 12 months Class 2 experience
• Experience driving in London would be advantageous, but not essential
