Job summary

Booker in Barton is seeking a driver to join our local delivery team, loading stock, delivering to customers, and maintaining accurate paperwork. The role is 45 hours per week with a Mon–Fri pattern and one Saturday in four, and overtime opportunities may be available.

You will be part of a busy delivery network focused on reliable customer service. This role offers staff discounts, pension, health and wellbeing support, and career development within Booker, part of Tesco plc.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T Licence
• Two years driving experience
• Delivery driving experience preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good literacy and numeracy skills

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
