Job summary

Lanes Group PLC is seeking a HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer for night shifts in Beckton, North London East. The role involves travelling to residential sites to operate high-pressure jetting equipment and perform drainage maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.

You will report work details using specialist gear, ensuring safety and high service quality. The position offers 4 days on, 4 days off, with an OTE of £55,000 and benefits including 21 days holiday, health plan, pension, and parking.

Qualifications

• Minimum HGV Class 2 licence and CPC; digi tachograph card required.
• Experience with High Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites in a HGV around North London East powering a high pressure water jet for restoration.
• Clean, clear, repair and maintain drainage systems.
• Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using electro-mechanical and CCTV survey equipment.
• Rodding blockages.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain good health and safety practices while carrying out works.

Hours: 4 days on 4 days off, 40.25 hours - Nights

Salary: OTE £55,000 (made up of basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses)

About the Role:

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.

• Travelling to residential sites in a HGV, around the North London East area powering a high pressure water jet for restoration.
• Clean / clear / repair and maintain drainage systems.
• Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using electro mechanical and specialist CCTV survey equipment.
• Rodding blockages.
• Delivering good customer service.
• Maintaining good H&S practise while carrying out works.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of High Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.

You must have a minimum of a HGV Class 2 licence and you must have completed the certificate of professional competence (CPC) and an up to date digi tachograph card.
