Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a Drainage Engineer - Nights to join our Thames Water contract team in Deephams, North London. You will work 4 nights on 4 nights off and deliver high-pressure jetting, drainage repair and customer-focused service.

We provide full training, PPE, 21 days holiday (including BH), health cash plan and free onsite parking, with a supportive team and clear progression opportunities. Travel to residential sites by HGV, inspect and clear blockages, record job reports on specialist

Qualifications

• Experience with high-pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential.
• NRSWA and Confined Spaces qualifications are an advantage.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites in a North London area using an HGV to power a high pressure water jet.
• Clean, clear, repair and maintain drainage systems.
• Record each job report on specialist equipment.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using CCTV and electro-mechanical gear.
• Rodding blockages and delivering good customer service.
• Maintain health and safety practices on site.

Drainage Engineer

Full training / PPE / use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our drainage engineers have the right tools, competency, and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.

Position: Drainage Engineer - Nights

Location: Deephams, North London

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 4 nights on 4 nights off, 40.25 hours

Salary: £38,000 per annum (made up of basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses)

About the Role:

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.

• Travelling to residential sites in a HGV, around the North London area powering a high pressure water jet for restoration.
• Clean / clear / repair and maintain drainage systems.
• Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains using electro mechanical and specialist CCTV survey equipment.
• Rodding blockages.
• Delivering good customer service.
• Maintaining good H&S practise while carrying out works.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience in the use of High Pressure Jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA and Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
