Job summary

Pure Staff are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Day Driver to work with one of our valued clients based in Newport. Start Date: Immediate Start Available. You will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods to customers along your designated route.

Typical shifts run 10–12 hours starting between 05:00 and 08:00, with 3–12 drops per shift. You will use a pump truck and must hold a Class 2 Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Requires Driver CPC Qualification.
• Requires Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods safely and efficiently.
• Carry out between 3 and 12 deliveries per shift.
• Use a pump truck to assist with deliveries where required.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Adhere to all driver hours, working time regulations, and company procedures.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with customers.
• Wear PPE as required (safety boots, hi-vis).
• Complete driving assessment prior to commencing work.
