Job summary

Driver Hire Portsmouth is seeking a HGV Class 2 Cage Driver for a temporary contract in Fareham. You will deliver wholesale food, drinks and catering supplies on set routes, 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with immediate start and 10-shift sign-up bonus after first 10 shifts.

£15.05–£18.50 per hour PAYE/Umbrella, with potential extension to permanent for the right candidate. Requires Class 2 licence, CPC, Tacho, and cage delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Valid Class 2 (HGV) licence.
• Valid CPC card and Tacho Card.
• Proven cage delivery experience.
• Ability to adapt to different shifts and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 cages deliveries to convenience stores.
• Ensure safe loading, transport, and unloading of cage goods.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries on schedule and professionally.
• Handle the physical demands of the job and drive safely.
• Maintain organisation and attention to detail on every route.

Our Fareham based customer is after Class 2 drivers with cage experience. You will be delivering wholesale food, drink and catering supplies to commercial premises on set routes. This is a Monday to Friday role c. 45 hours per week.

Requirements:

• Hold a valid driver's licence with no more than 6 points.
• Valid Class 2 (HGV/LGV, Category C) driving licence.
• Valid CPC card and Tacho Card
• Proven experience in cage delivery operations.
• Ability to adapt to different assignments and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 2 vehicles for cage deliveries to convenience stores.
• Ensure safe loading, transportation, and unloading of goods using cages.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
• Handle the physical demands of the job and operate vehicles safely.
• Maintain strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
