Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a temp-to-perm role with ongoing work through 2026. The position offers hourly pay with overtime after 45 hours and requires valid driving credentials, reliable shifts, and the ability to handle loads safely.

Duties include curtain-sider deliveries, paperwork completion, and daily vehicle checks. Shifts run Mon-Fri from 17:00 to 19:00 starts, with overtime available at £20.00 per hour after 45 hours.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence required.
• Commitment to shifts/rotas.
• Ability to work safely alone or with a team.
• Time management and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) curtainsider trailers.
• Complete 3–5 drops with timed deliveries.
• Handle pre-loaded vehicles and check loads.
• Carry out vehicle checks and complete delivery paperwork.

About the Role

Class 1 (C+E) - Main duties and requirements are:

• Curtainsider trailers
• 3-5 drops with timed deliveries
• Pre loaded vehicles

Ensuring your load is safe and secure

Completion of delivery paperwork

Maximum 6 points accepted ( No DD/ DR offences)

Vehicle checks

Working Hours

• 17:00pm - 19:00pm starts
• Mon - Fri shifts

Pay

£18.00 per hour

£20.00 per hour overtime

(after 45 hours)
