Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting HGV Class 2 (CAT C) drivers for a temp-to-perm role in Yeovil. You will deliver and collect across the South West, on a rotating 4 on, 2 off pattern, with weekend work and start times from 04:00–07:00 or 12:00–16:00.

Average weekly hours are 42, with no overnight stays and a genuine long-term opportunity, plus performance bonuses up to £3,000 per year and a referral bonus scheme. Valid Class 2 licence, Tachograph card and CPC required; newly qualified drivers welcome.

• Valid Class 2 (CAT C) driving licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect from customers across the service area.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional representative of the company.
• Build positive relationships with customers through a friendly and reliable approach.
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Follow all health & safety procedures, vehicle regulations and the Highway Code.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Complete all relevant delivery and collection documentation.

Pay: £17.22 per hour
Hours: Average 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 2 off, including weekends

The Role

Due to continued growth and additional customers, we are looking for HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Drivers to join our client in Yeovil on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity, offering ongoing work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the company following a successful temporary period.

You will be responsible for delivering and collecting from customers across the South West, providing a professional, friendly and reliable service at every customer interaction.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced HGV drivers, as well as newly qualified Class 2 drivers looking to build their commercial driving experience.
