Job summary

Network Transport Solutions Limited is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 driver for a Monday to Friday trunking role with guaranteed full-time hours. Shifts run 04:00–15:00 and 16:00–03:00, averaging 11 hours per day. There is no weekend work and a permanent contract may follow after 12 weeks.

You will operate container vehicles, perform pre-trip checks, log deliveries, and liaise with the transport team to flag delays. A valid HGV C+E licence and DQC are required.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E licence with up to six points for minor endorsements.
• Digital Tachograph card and DQC required.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1/C+E container vehicles following safety regs.
• Carry out pre-trip inspections and report faults.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and follow routes.
• Communicate with transport teams about delays or schedule changes.

The Role:

• Operate HGV Class 1 / C+E container vehicles, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to scheduled routes.
• Communicate effectively with the Transport Teams regarding delivery status and any potential delays.

The Requirements:

• HGV C+E Class 1 license – 6 Months Driving Experience
• Full HGV C+E licence with no more than six points for minor endorsements
• Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards
• Customer focused attitude
