Job summary

Driver Hire York is seeking regular Class 1 HGV drivers to cover busy periods from depots in the YO area, with a vehicle provided to reach each site as required.

Long days with early starts are common, and there is weekly PAYE payment, a referral bonus and holiday pay.

Requirements include LGV C+E (Class 1), valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card; induction and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold LGV C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Must hold a valid Driver CPC.
• Must hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Cover regular Class 1 HGV tipper work during busy periods.
• Long days with early starts; travel to depots in the YO area; vehicle provided to reach depots.
• Join and support busy periods at multiple depots as required.

Job description

We have regular Class 1 Tipper work based in Driffield, with a view to work from different depots based in the YO area (a vehicle will be provided to get to each depot where required). The role is to cover the busy period and can be long days with early starts.

Full induction and training will be given.

Requirements:

• Full LGV C+E (Class 1) licence
• valid Driver CPC
• valid Digital Tachograph Card

The successful HGV driver can expect:

• £15.50/hr (£18.66 O/T after 8 hr)
• prompt PAYE payment weekly
• minimum 8 hours pay/day
• referral bonus
• holiday pay
