Job summary

Drivers Plus Limited is seeking an experienced Class 2 Tipper Driver based in Leeds (LS27) for a temp-to-perm role. Typical start time is 06:15 with a 9–10 hour shift, Mon to Fri, and optional Saturday mornings.

You will deliver aggregates across West Yorkshire and occasionally to Sheffield or Newark. Responsibilities include daily vehicle checks, keeping the vehicle clean, and adhering to Health & Safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) manual licence.
• Maximum 6 penalty points.
• Minimum 2 years Class 2 driving experience.
• Licence active within the last 6 months.
• Employer reference covering the last 2 years.
• Reliable with good communication and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and well maintained.
• Following company health and safety procedures.

Job description

Drivers Plus are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Tipper Driver for a well-established client based in Leeds (LS27). This is a Temp to Permanent opportunity with a company that has been operating for over 50 years.

Job Details

• Start time: 06:15
• Shift length: 9-10 hours
• Finish time: Around 4-5pm
• Monday to Friday
• 45-50 hours per week
• Optional Saturday morning work available

The Role

Delivering and collecting aggregates and materials across West Yorkshire, including:

• Topsoil
• Sand
• Muck
• Gravel

Most deliveries are between local building sites, with occasional runs further afield to Sheffield and Newark.

Responsibilities include:

• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Keeping the vehicle clean and well maintained
• Following company health and safety procedures

Pay

• £14.50 per hour PAYE
• Weekly pay
• Pay rate remains the same after the qualifying period
• Once permanent, employees receive 20 days holiday per year.

Requirements

• Valid Category C (Class 2) manual licence

• Must have actively used licence within the last 6 months
