Job summary

Venatu Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing contracts across Doncaster and surrounding areas. Day and night shifts available, with local deliveries and long-distance trunking.

Role involves some loading, daily vehicle checks, and completing delivery paperwork. Benefits include weekly PAYE pay and enhanced weekend rates, with holiday pay and guaranteed minimum 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV C+E licence.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• No DR10, CD10 or IN10 endorsements.
• Minimum of 2 years holding a UK HGV licence.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing work driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Category C.
• Local deliveries and long-distance trunking.
• Some manual loading/unloading (handball) may be required depending on client.
• Occasional overnight stays depending on delivery locations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Complete delivery paperwork and driver records.
• Follow all road traffic laws and company procedures.
• Maintain good communication with dispatch and customers.

Pay Rates

• HGV Class 1 (C+E):From £16.00 per hour (days) upwards
• HGV Class 1 (C+E) From£17.50 per hour (Nights) Upwards
• Night Out Allowance: £25.00 - £35.00 per night out depanding on client
• Enhanced rates for Saturday and Sunday
• Weekly PAYE pay
• Minimum 8 hours' pay per shift
• 12.07% holiday pay accrual
