Pay rates vary by time of day, with a day rate from 6am to 6pm and a higher rate from 6pm to 6am. This Temp to Perm position requires a valid licence, DCPC, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C&E).
• 12 months on licence and relevant experience.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Shunters (CAT C&E) to join the team.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 02:30am start

Pay Rate:

• Between 6am – 6pm -£16.36 per hour PAYE
• Between 6pm – 6am - £19.08 per hour PAYE

The role:

• Moving Trailers and trucks around the yard
• Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
• 12 months on licence and experience required
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
