Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1/Shunter Drivers for shifts in Wigan. Immediate starts available for days and nights on a 4 on/4 off, 12-hour shift pattern. Roles involve shunting, trailer moves, safety checks and adherence to transport procedures.

Typical weekly pay is £1,402.58 (nights) or £1,348.82 (days) based on 55 hours; overtime is paid for hours over 48. Regular weekly work with guaranteed hours and a pension scheme is offered.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Minimum 6 months experience.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time rules.
• Reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Shunting trailers and vehicles around the site.
• Moving and positioning trailers safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer checks.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Working as part of a busy transport operation.
