Job summary

Culina Group is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver / Shunter for our Skelmersdale depot. This full-time role combines Class 1 driving with yard shunting to move trailers safely on and off loading bays and ensure efficient site operations.

Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off nights, 6pm–6am (40.25 hours/week). Pay starts at £15.35/hour plus supplements and overtime; potential earnings up to £17.60/hour on standard night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV Class 1 driver and yard shunter.
• Safe driving and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to complete documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles, primarily at night.
• Shunt trailers within the yard and position for loading/unloading.
• Deliver palletised goods to regional centres and complete backdoor tip deliveries when required.
• Conduct daily vehicle and trailer inspections and report defects.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, safety, and yard housekeeping.
