People Solutions are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver for a role based in Runcorn. The position offers competitive hourly rates, weekly pay, and ongoing assignments with immediate starts.

Full training provided on site; new passes welcomed. Duties include yard shunting and operating Category C+E vehicles, with emphasis on safety and compliance. Excellent benefits and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• A valid Driver CPC Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Completing yard shunting duties and vehicle movements around the site.
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out unit movements on the yard.
• Ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy.
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Assisting with loading and unloading where required.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times.
