Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is seeking HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers based in Leeds (LS10 1RT). This temp-to-perm role starts around 20:00 with 8–10 hour night shifts, handling trunking between hubs and up to two runs per night.

Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence, CPC and Digi Card, with 6 months’ experience and up to 6 points. Ability to work nights and adhere to regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Driver Hours and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking work between client hubs.
• Carry out up to 2 runs per night.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle checks.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Maintain compliance with Working Time Directive.

Pay Rate

• £17.77 per hour PAYE

Hours & Shift Patterns

• Monday to Friday
• Around 20:00 starts
• 8-10 hour shifts
• Night work

The Role

• Completing trunking work between the client's hubs
• Completing up to 2 runs per night
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
• Carrying out all required vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Completing all necessary paperwork accurately
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Maintaining a professional approach at all times

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• 6 months experience required
• Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
• Valid CPC and Digi Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
