Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging is recruiting for a night-time HGV Class 1 Driver on a permanent, full-time basis. The role covers the Avonmouth to Lytham St Ann's trunking route with a 19:00–05:00 shift and a 9-hour day, offering a competitive salary and performance bonuses.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, load securing, and adhere to safety protocols while providing reliable, customer-focused service on a regular route. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence mandatory.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Experience in multi-drop or regional deliveries preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and reliability essential.
• Professional, customer-focused attitude expected.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of HGV Class 1 vehicles in line with regulations.
• Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Loading vehicles and securing loads correctly.

The HGV Class 1 Driver Role We're now looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to operate our regular night-time trunking route from our Avonmouth based distribution centre.

This will involve a nightly changeover of tailers at Lytham St Ann's (in Lancashire) returning to Avonmouth, where you may be required to move other vehicles to enable loading of other vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of HGV Class 1 vehicles in line with regulations

• Following all Health & Safety procedures
