Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester is seeking several HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for roles around Trafford Park and surrounding areas. You will carry out depot-to-depot deliveries and trailer swaps, following instructions from transport teams and maintaining regular contact with managers.

Start around 19:30 and finish around 06:00, with a weekly PAYE payroll, benefits, and a company pension. You will need a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card, a full UK licence, and Cat-C+E held for 3 years.

Qualifications

• No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Full UK Driving licence
• Cat-C+E Licence (HGV Class 1) held for 3 years

Responsibilities

• Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
• Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
• Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

Job description

Role: HGV Class 1 Night Driver
Salary: £19.61 per hour including holiday pay (£17.50 with accrued holiday pay)
Location: South Manchester, Gorton Salford, Trafford Park, Urmston, Irlam and Carrington
Work Pattern: Full time, contract, temporary, or part-time to suit, typically starting around 1930 and finishing around 0600am.

We are therefore currently seeking several HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for various roles and contract terms (to suit you) in and around Trafford Park.

As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver you will be required to carry out depot to depot deliveries and trailer swaps, taking and following instructions from the transport teams.

Start time will be around 1930 and you will be expected to finish around 0600am
