Job summary

Evri Group is seeking a Night Driver for the Crewe depot to operate HGV Class 1 duties, collect and deliver parcels, and maintain safety standards across the network.

The role requires a full UK licence with HGV Class 1, CPC, and tachograph, with excellent communication and a safety-first mindset. A 40-hour week and 5-of-7 shift pattern are expected, with full-time benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) entitlement, driver’s CPC and digital tachograph.
• Newly-qualified drivers are welcome, provided they can undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
• Reasonable physical fitness for loading and unloading duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive longer routes in waves, delivering parcels from the depot to clients and sites across the network.
• Collect and deliver parcels safely, complete paperwork and assist depot staff with heavier items.
• Perform tail-lift duties and manage loading/unloading of the vehicle.
• Work a 40-hour week scheduled in any 5 shifts out of 7 with rosters provided in advance.

HGV Class 1 (Cat C&E) Shunter Night Driver – Crewe Depot

What We Can Offer You

£18.32 per hour, with an overtime rate of £27.48 after full‑time hours are completed.

• Collect and deliver parcels safely, complete required paperwork and assist depot staff with heavier items when needed.
• Perform tail‑lifting duties and manage loading/unloading of your vehicle.
• Work a 40‑hour week, scheduled in any 5 shifts out of 7 with rosters provided in advance.
