Job summary

Evri Maidstone is recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers to join our busy depot. You will drive long routes, ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely, and support depot staff with occasional pallet truck and tail lift tasks.

We offer 40 hours a week on days out of 7, with competitive pay of £17.72 per hour plus overtime, plus generous benefits including 32 days’ annual leave, pension contributions and life assurance, plus flexible perks.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) entitlements, Driver CPC and digital tachograph.
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Drive longer routes across the EVRI network, from depots to clients and other sites.
• Ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely; update paperwork.
• Assist depot staff with heavier items (pallet truck and tail lift duties).
• Match routes to road conditions and provide alternative routes when issues arise.
• Maintain safe driving practices and communicate any problems promptly.

We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities forHGV Class 1 Day Drivers(or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growingMaidstone depot. Dayshifts typically start 14:00 pm - 16:00 pm.

WhatYou’llDo:

OurHGV Class 1 driversusually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in theEVRinetwork.You’llensure parcels are collected and deliveredsafely;paperwork updated andassistdepot staff with heavier items from time to time. This will include pallet truck and tail lift work. We know the great British roads and weatherdon’talways play nicely, soyou’llneed to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route.

Our HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts: 40 hours per week, any 5 out of 7 days (including weekends).
