Job summary

PIVT Group Ltd is seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 Night Driver for the Warrington operation. The role involves 4-on-4-off nights with 12-hour shifts starting at 11pm, delivering to customer stores using fixed/ moving deck double-deck trailers.

Duties include unloading cages with tail-lift, reloading for return, and completing paperwork with accuracy. Night deliveries are to closed stores; you must work independently and safely, following site access and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 C+E licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Good understanding of Drivers Hours, WTD and road transport compliance.
• Physically able to move cages and undertake manual handling throughout the shift.
• Flexible approach to start times, shift patterns and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 C+E vehicles in line with legal, customer and client requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Deliver cages into customer stores using tail-lift equipment where required.
• Complete night deliveries to closed stores responsibly and independently.
• Manually unload loaded cages and move them safely into store delivery areas.
• Reload empty cages onto the trailer for return.
• Operate fixed-deck and moving-deck double-deck trailers where required.
• Complete all delivery paperwork, PODs and electronic records accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules.
• Communicate clearly with transport planners, site teams and customers.
• Represent our client professionally at all times.

HGV Class 1 Night Driver - Warrington

Salary: £50,020 per annum

Location: Warrington

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Our client is seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 C+E Night Drivers to support their Warrington operation.

The role involves night driving on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern (12-hour shifts starting at 11pm, paid breaks). You will deliver to customer stores using trailers that may include double-deck operation (fixed deck and moving deck). Duties include completing store deliveries, unloading cages using tail-lift equipment, and reloading empty cages for return. Night deliveries are made to closed stores, so you must work responsibly and independently while following all site access, safety and security procedures.

This is a physically demanding role. You must be comfortable moving loaded and empty cages, using tail-lift equipment, and safely handling freight in line with manual handling procedures.

• Experience with cage-based deliveries and collections
• Previous multi-drop Class 1 experience
